Covid-19 Response

During the last three months, Flying High for Haiti delivered 200 water dispensers for portable hand washing. In Île-à-Vache, there is no running water and these portable dispensers allow for frequent hand washing which is essential to limit the spread of COVID-19.

We have also provided more than 1,400 cloth face masks for personal protection. Île-à-Vache does not have the means to purchase these masks but they do have the will and ability to make them. Thanks to your contribution we are providing the materials and hiring local residents to make the masks.

In addition to this, FHFH distributed food to the families of Ecole du Village and continued paying the salaries of teachers and staff despite the cancellation of classes.

Finally, taking advantage of the school closing, we repaired the roof of one of the classrooms in the school.
