Earthquake Relief

On August 14th, 2021, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti. Only days after, our Founder, Ines Lozano, traveled to Ile-a-Vache with collected medicines, food, clothes, and baby essentials, met with the island authorities, and personally assessed the damages and more significant needs. Immediately after, with approximately 30 volunteers, we started our relief efforts. We helped to build and rebuild 60 homes using local labor and ensured the donations reached the victims. We provided water filters for 2,000 families and delivered seven large tents to Saint Michelle School. The tents were used as temporary classrooms allowing 750 students to start the school year.
