OPENING RECEPTION: Friday September 24th 7:00PM

In early June of this year, a group of dedicated Friends of the Orphans volunteers, led by event Chair and International Christian School principal Ines Lozano, and photographer Boris Vazquez-Cordoves, traveled to Haiti to visit the Nos Petits Freres et Soeurs (French for “Our Little Brothers and Sisters”) programs and conduct an art/photography project with children from Port au Prince’s tent cities. The result is Through the Eyes of a Haitian Child, which captures the life and emotion of these children’s lives through their art and photographs.

Friends of the Orphans supports NPFS, which has been serving Haiti’s poorest communities for over 25 years. NPFS operates Hôpital Saint Damien—Haiti’s only free pediatric facility, a home for over 350 orphaned and abandoned children, and numerous community outreach projects. Despite suffering extensive damages during the earthquake on January 12, NPFS has continued to provide sustenance and medical care to thousands of Haitians.
