May there be light!

In collaboration with Third Wave Volunteers and SmarAID, we distributed individual solar-powered lights to assist vulnerable families, including single mothers, children, and the elderly. The entire island of Ile-a-Vache has no access to electricity.

These lights are powered by the sun and harmless for families and the environment. They will allow children to study without using candlelight or kerosene lanterns at night, reduce the risk of fires and illness from smoke and soot inhalation, reduce fire hazards in the tent camps where Haitians now live, and help with security plans.
